Teen Read Week 2008 will be celebrated at thousands of public and school libraries, classrooms, and bookstores across the country. Because teens have many activities that keep them busy, reading sometimes loses out to homework, jobs or sports . Reading skills get rusty when they are not used. This years theme reflects the vampire craze currently gripping not only our school but the nation as well. Due to TAKS testing taking place in the library, we will push back our Teen Read celebration by a week. We have a variety of activities planned for the week which include taking pictures of students and faculty holding their favorite book. A contest for a Twilight themed prize and other activities. Don’t forget to come by the library and checkout all of our Books With Bite!
